JJiguene (jigeen): Means woman in Wolof (Senegalese Dialect)
JJiguene Tech Senegal is seeking to become the first woman tech Hub in Senegal. Our aim is to encourage, inspire and train more women in the tech ecosystem in Senegal through networking, training, mentoring and sharing knowledge. Women in Senegal work and share in many sectors but not on the technology sector. In order to increase the number of women in tech, entrepreneurs and more girls to take science courses at university so as to reduce the gender gap and compete favourably with our male counterparts for jobs and improve the livelihoods of women in Senegal.
